Of the Closed Beta
The Beta Tester Covenant
Read these terms in full. By redeeming an invite code and entering the Towne during the closed Beta, thou bindest thyself to them.
Article I — Of Confidentiality
The closed Beta is a private trial. Thou shalt not publish, broadcast, stream, screenshot, screen-record, scrape, mirror, archive, summarise, repost, or otherwise disclose any portion of BellusTowne — its interfaces, lore, Charter provisions, Forge inner workings, Studio tools, pricing tiers, Founder communications, or any private chamber — to any party outside the Towne. This binds thee for the full duration of the closed Beta and for ninety (90) days after its public launch, or until the Founder publishes the matter herself, whichever cometh first.
Article II — Of Age and Identity
Thou affirmest thou art at least eighteen (18) years of age. Thou shalt provide a real, working email address and shalt not create duplicate or sock-puppet accounts.
Article III — Of Good-Faith Reporting
Thy purpose here is to find faults and report them, not to conceal them. Every bug, broken link, confusing flow, accessibility gap, or security concern shall be filed through the Wishing Well of Faults — never through Twitter, Reddit, Discord, or any public channel.
Article IV — Of Security and Probing
Thou mayest report security flaws thou observest in the ordinary course of use. Thou shalt not perform penetration testing, credential stuffing, automated scraping, brute-force probing, or any attack outside ordinary use, nor shalt thou exploit any flaw found. Disclosure to third parties of any unpatched security flaw is forbidden and is itself a breach of this Covenant.
Article V — Of Forbidden Conduct
The full prohibitions of the Town Charter and Terms apply in full. In particular, no Citizen, Beta or otherwise, may post affiliate links, paid endorsements, or competitor promotion upon BellusTowne's surfaces.
Article VI — Of Data and Erasure
Beta data may be reset, migrated, or partially purged before public launch. The Founder shall give reasonable notice before any destructive reset. Thy right of erasure under the Charter remains in full force; request it through the Erasure chamber.
Article VII — Of Consequence
Breach of this Covenant is a breach of the Charter and enters the Roster of Consequences at the standard ladder, with the Founder's discretion to escalate for wilful disclosure, scraping, or competitor enablement. Removal from the Beta is at the Founder's sole discretion and is not a forfeiture of any other Citizen right.
Article VIII — Of Compensation
Beta participation is voluntary and uncompensated. The Founder may, at her sole discretion, recognise outstanding Beta contribution through Standing, Marks of Merit, or named entries in the Chronicle. No employment, partnership, or contractor relationship is created.
Article IX — Of Acceptance
By entering an invite code at the Gatehouse, thou dost accept this Covenant in full. The acceptance is recorded with timestamp into the append-only ledger and is binding from that moment.
